The fifth annual Queensland Simmental Bull Sale is back on the last Monday in July at CQLX Gracemere with just over 100 purebred, registered Simmental Bulls nominated from Queensland and most states in Australia.

In celebrating this milestone vendors would like to acknowledge the tremendous support of all past purchasers and bidders, thank you very much for making the sale a success, we couldn’t have done it without you.

The sales number one priority has always been on presenting quality bulls for the commercial beef producer to improve profitability of their crossbreeding cattle operations. For this reason, each year feedback is obtained from buyers of these bulls with feedback used to make subtle changes to bull selection, preparation and presentation.

In keeping with this philosophy further updates to the sale and bulls have been made in this milestone year including.

  • This year Estimated Progeny Difference will be included for sale lots in the catalogue.
  • 24 bulls from NSW have been backgrounded in Warwick, from late 2024 with sale preparation then occurring in Clifton.
  • 15 bulls from South Australia have been backgrounded at Murgon from late 2024 with sale preparation occurring in the South Burnett.
  • 11 bulls from Victoria backgrounded on Buffel at Blackwater from February 2025 with final sale preparation occurring at Dalma in Central Queensland.
  • Queensland Studs Springside Simmentals (one of Queensland longest running Simmental Studs) and Lone Station Simmentals (based in some of the heaviest tick and lantana country found in QLD) are back for 2025.
  • Desired weight specifications in the sale terms and conditions for vendors have been updated to:
